Wendy Hughes is a clinical psychologist and executive coach who enjoys working with a range of clients. She tailors interventions to suit individual needs and can provide brief or longer-term therapy or coaching. Her primary interests are working with clients who have experienced adverse life events (trauma), relationship problems, managing chronic illness, depression, anxiety, parenting and child behavioural concerns, stress and grief. As a coach she enjoys helping people to identify and strive towards their life goals.
Wendy works with a range of therapeutic interventions and is experienced in working with Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Wendy also has experience providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness approaches; Attachment focused parenting interventions and Schema Therapy. Wendy is also a Gottman Level 2 Relationship Therapy trained counsellor and uses a range of interventions to assist couples to overcome their difficulties. Wendy is endorsed as a Level 2 Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership coach and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
Wendy holds an Honours degree in Psychology, a Master of Business Administration and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Wendy has full registration with the National Psychology Board of Australia, Membership with the Australian Psychological Society and College of Clinical Psychologists. She is also and is a full member of the EMDR Association of Australia.
